RPGA D&D at SWA Events

()

We're very happy to welcome Jonahan Choy as our new RPGA Czar. Jonathan will be helping us to have RPGA D&D events at our monthly Game-a-thons, and of course at Council of Five Nations (coming October 5-7 this year).

We're getting started at the August 11th Game-a-thon at the Studio of Bridge and Games. We'll announce the full scheudle of events for that day soon, but we wanted to give you a special preview of the RPGA events Jonathan's got lined up.

Morning Slot: 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM

The Unwanted Ones

KEO5-IS2
by Robert Reckkia (Intro)
Charity and mercy beg assistance to help one who is too weak to help themselves. Can you find a home for the unwanted one?

A one round RPGA Living Greyhawk Introductory Keoland Regional Adventure for First Level Characters Only for 4-6 Players. Characters must be
created by RPGA Living Greyhawk Campaign Standards 597 version 7.5 rules, see http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=lg/welcome . GM will have first level characters available.

Evening Slot: 5:00 PM - 10:00+ PM

The Price of Hospitality
KEO6-06
by Wayne Rosen (APL 2-8)
As political tensions run high in Keoland, our mighty heroes escape to the backwater Barony of Mill Creek. Surely danger couldn't follow them to this isolated area. Surely the scheming Keoish nobility would leave this boring farming community alone. Surely you must be joking. A Keoland regional adventure for APLs 2-8, A one round RPGA Living Greyhawk Keoland Regional Adventure for characters level 1 through 11 (APL2-8). Characters must be created by RPGA Living Greyhawk Campaign Standards 597 version 7.5 rules, see http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=lg/welcome . GM will have first level characters available.

Jonathan will put signups on http://www.warhorn.net/swa to let the tables form ahead of time and ensure better party balance.

Looking for players for a new D&D Campaign

()

ADVENTURERS WANTED!

Heya, folks! I'm looking for a few more players for a new D&D 3.5
campaign I am starting in late winter. Although I am a very experienced
DM, this will be my first campaign in over a decade. Most of the players
in my group (from the "olden days") are in our early 30's and have played
nothing but 1st Edition, but this time we're going to be progressive and
play the contemporary version of the game. This campaign promises to be very
detailed and exciting, as I've been working on it since summer.

I'm looking for some mature players (of any age) with such social graces
as good hygiene and a gregarious nature. If you're up to the challenge (or
are just morbidly curious about just what I'm up to...), feel free to drop
me a line and I can give more details.

D&D's 30th Anniversary Book

Newsweek has a short article on the book that TSR/Wizards/Hasbro/whatever
is issuing in honor of D&D's 30th anniversary. You can check it

FCS Gaming League: Game Weekend Update

()

We have finalized the schedule for the game weekend for the FCS Gaming League.
Here are the details as they stand. For updated details as they become
available see the web site (http://www.firstduty.com/add/league/dd_league_schedule.html).

On November 19, 20, and 21 we will host a game weekend consisting of 6 or
more games (both FCSGL and RPGA) split by BBQ and conversation. We
will also discuss the administrative points for the future of Pinnacle's
Spire, Dragons Den, the Champions Guild, and the new books allowed in the
League. The cost of the weekend is a food item of your choice or $5.00.
This event is VERY SPECIAL in that it will not only host the Season #6 Championship,
but also the League's 100th game and our 3rd Aniversary!!! There will
be cake to "let them eat...". If that still isn't enough for you, this
event kicks off National Games Week (11/21 - 11/27) for the League.
Follow up the Sunday game with the Wednesday (11/24) game and join people
in over 15,000 locations nationwide!

New D&D Game Looking for Players

()

Coming Soon to Guilderland!
A new v.3.5 Dungeons and Dragons game will be starting soon. Be there at
the beginning. I run a fun, flexible, easygoing game with a healthy mix of
role playing, hack-and-slash, and strategy (you're not meant to be able to
kill everything you encounter).

This game will likely be played weekly, Sunday afternoons until early evenings.

I've been playing D&D both as a player and a Dungeon Master for over
twenty years and I'm looking for adult players for the new campaign; both
experienced players and beginners are encouraged and welcome.

Spotlight - The FCS Gaming League

()

The FCS Gaming League ran some good events for us at last year's Council,
and will do so again at the upcoming June 21st Game-a-thon. We welcome their
support. We've just set up a new page on our site with info about this long-running
series of D&D games. The unique thing about their games is that you're
responsible for a whole adventuring party, not just one character. For more
information, see our
summary
, their web site at www.firstduty.com/add/league
or contact Christopher Ford, their
coordinator, directly.
