We've set aside the dates for the 2010 SWA Game-a-thons. All of these are Saturdays. Please mark your calendars now! January 9 February 13 March 13 April 10 May 8 June 12 July 17 August 14 September 11 October 8-10: Council of Five Nations November 13 December Still TBD Typically, Game-a-thon is the second Saturday of each month. However, we have to work around scheduling conflicts with the Studio of Bridge and Games. We also try to not schedule in conflict with other gaming conventions (but it inevitably happens once in a while, despite our best efforts). If you see a conflict we should know about, please reply to this message and let us know. We'll be updating the Game-a-thon pages on the SWA web site soon (click here). Check in for full info on each event as it becomes available. We hope to see you at many SWA gaming events in 2010. |

RPGA D&D at the Nov 14th Game-a-thon |

Breaking news! There will indeed by a 2-part RPGA D&D game at next weekend's SWA Game-a-thon. This event will kick off the Embers of Dawn LFR mini-campaign, since the Thon is a superior venue for the two-rounds-a-piece nature of the mini camapaign; it has five parts. MINI1-1 Stirring the Embers All is not well in the Great Port of Tarmalune and no one speaks of it. People are disappearing toward some fell purpose, and you are next. A two-round Living Forgotten Realms adventure that is Part 1 of the Embers of Dawn mini-campaign, set in Tarmalune for characters level 1-4. It is recommended that you play the Embers of Dawn mini-campaign in sequential order with one character for the best enjoyment and play possibilities within the mini-campaign, but it is not required. A first level character is recommended, as the arc comprises 5 parts. This will start in the first slot and run in both slots. Millie Cady will be first table judge. For more information, including descriptions of the other events, click here for the November Game-a-thon page. Several event descriptions have links to
BoardGameGeek. Check them out for game reviews, pictures, rules and
player aids. |
