Game-a-thons

Game-a-thon: Saturday, May 17, 2008

()

Reminder: This month's SWA Game-a-thon was originally scheduled for May 10th.  Some of you may still have that date on your calendar.  We had to bump it down a week because of an availability conflict at the Studio of Bridge and Games.  Please take note!

Anyway, on to this month's events...

Both Sessions ( 11am - 10pm+ )
Morning Session ( 11am - 4pm )
Evening Session ( 5pm - 10pm+ )
RPGA Events ( 11am - 10pm+ )

We hope to see you there.

Game "Swap Meet" at this Saturday's Game-a-thon

()

This is a reminder about the SWA Game-a-thon coming this Saturday, April 12th.

Not only do we have a bunch of good events (click here to see the full descriptions), but also one of our quarterly Game Swap Meets.

If you've got merchandise you'd like to sell, please consider renting a table or three at our Game-a-thon.

This is meant to be more of a Swap Meet / Garage Sale atmosphere, and not really intended for full merchant setups.

Each attendee can rent a maximum of three tables. The first costs $2, two cost $10, and three cost $20. As you can see, the price structure encourages individuals to rent few tables.

Each table is (2.5' x 2.5'); a standard card table. Some of them are kinda old and thus not very sturdy. Please keep this in mind when planning what you'll bring for sale.

You can reserve your table(s) ahead of time by using the online registration form. You will see the prices repeated there. Please also note that you have to pay the Game-a-thon registration in addition to the table rental fee if you are playing games.

You can also rent tables on a walk-in basis, first come, first served.

Here's our secret agenda... Not only do we want to help you get rid of gaming stuff you're not using, but we'd also like to see this generate some more walk-in traffic.  So feel free to come by and browse.  There is no registration cost to you if you're not playing games.

Here's the summary of events again.

We've got a special all-day Wilderness War tournament.  We've also got FCS D&D in both time slots. And other good gaming offerings as well...

Both Sessions ( 11am - 10pm+ )

Morning Session ( 11am - 4pm )
Evening Session ( 5pm - 10pm+ )

We hope to see you there.

Game-a-thon: Saturday, February 16, 2008

()

This month's SWA Game-a-thon is right around the corner. We're sorry it took a little longer than we'd hoped to get out the schedule. Here's the reason - we need more more people to volunteer to run events for us. It's harder when we have to ask the same people to step up every month. If 20-30 of you could run just one game per year, that would help speed our scheduling tremendously!

Please click here for some Game-a-thon GM guidelines.
Please click here to request an event. Knowing what you want to play helps us focus our recruting efforts.
Please click here to submit an event.

You can also email us at gameathon@swa-gaming.org with any questions or comments - one of us will get back to your promptly.

And now, on to the offerings for this month...

Morning Session ( 11am - 4pm )

Evening Session ( 5pm - 10pm+ )
RPGA Events (11am - 10pm+ )

Ring in the new year with some gaming fun, brought to you by your friends at the Schenectady Wargamers Association.  Here are the events we've got lined up.

Evening Session ( 5pm - 10pm+ )
RPGA Events (10am - 10pm+ )

For more information, including full event descriptions, click here for the January Game-a-thon page.

Also, please note that January is a Game-a-thon Swap Meet month. Three times per year (January, April & July) we will have a swap meet area at that month's Game-a-thon. This is a great place to spend your Xmas gift money, or to make a few bucks selling games that no longer fit on your shelf.  Please check out the January Game-a-thon page for details.
