Historical Miniatures Survey - Results

()

Awhile back, we asked you to participate in a survey of historical minis preferences.  We got a great response: forty-seven people.  Thank you to everyone who participated!  We figured we'd share the final analysis with you here.

SUMMARY
As might be expected, there was strongest interest in Imperial Roman, Samurai, American War of Independence, American Civil War, and leading the way, World War II.

This might be helpful when thinking about the kinds of historical events to run at Council and Game-a-thons.

Here's a funny observation:  Almost 50% of the people who said they'd be willing to run a historical miniatures game at a future SWA event answered the survey anonymously!  If you think that might have been you, please email us at historical.minis/at/swa-gaming.org and let us know.  We'll put you on our list of potential game masters.  Thank you.

Please click "Read more" below this block to see the detailed breakdown of results.

Historical Miniatures Survey for SWA Events

()

We're planning our 2009 Game-a-thons, and something that we want to improve is our Historical Miniatures offerings. We are thinking about offering more games, and games from different historical periods.

If you're a historical gamer, or even if you have interest in trying out this aspect of Adventure Gaming, we'd like to get your input. We've come up with a brief online survey. It should take you only about 5 minutes.

You can find the survey here on our web site:

www.swa-gaming.org/historicalgamingsurvey

If you have any questions or other comments, please contact our Game-a-thon Historical Miniatures Czar, Joe Tomasulo, at ja633/at/nycap.rr.com

Thank you, and we hope to see you at many future SWA events.

Flames of War Ver. 2 Upgrade available

()

uncus writes, "From the Flames of War website:Free Mini RulebookGreetings to you all as I bring you up to date on what you need to do to get hold of your “free’ copy of Flames of War second edition next month. The plan for this is nice and simple as we are trying to make it as easy as we can for all of you to get hold of your new rules on the day of the release on the 6th July. What we need you to do during the month of June is let your local retailer know that you will be coming along to his/her store to collect your copy on or just after release day. We need you to do this during June to make sure we send out the right number of copies at the end of the month to each store so that on release day nobody gets left out. It does not matter where you bought the book from, whether a store or mail-order, as long as the store who is going to give you your free copy knows in advance we will make sure they have enough to meet demand. If you bought the copy mail-order and are unable to get to a local retailer all you need to do is get in touch with us directly and we will make sure you get looked after. http://www.battlefront.co.nz/Article.asp?ArticleID=1075"
