)No I've never been before.
No I've never been before. I'm looking forward to it, but don't know what day I'll be able to head down. Maybe I'll pick your brain at the July GAT.

)Not going to the thon.
Hi Wes,
I/we are headed down early Sunday 8/02.
You won't be able to pick my brain at the thon though, because I won't be going. You could talk to Bill D, Bill A, Steve B, or Mike R though, if they are there. They've all been before.
What games are you thinking of playing?

Hey Nick,
Not sure. I can't make it until the weekend, though. Problem is, it looks like most tourneys begin early in the week so that the advanced rounds take place on the last weekend. That will obviously limit my choices. I'm just going down there to get a chance to play some games I own that I can't get to the table up here and/or would like to learn.
I'd love to hear your take on my plans, and what you'd recommend.

I have always played in the tournaments, the early rounds are pretty much "open gaming" anyway. So haven't spent too much time in the open gaming areas, although it seemed cool. They say there will be more open gaming this year than ever.
If I had limited time, I would pick the games I wanted to play most and try to schedule them in the open gaming area. They have a board where you can ask for opponents at the con, or you could post at the following links:

and maybe somewhere in here

Maybe I'll see you there.
