September 19 Game-a-thon

()

The September Game-a-thon is coming up on Saturday, September 19th.

We are looking for people to GM. If you're looking for ideas, we have requests for Axis & Allies-Anniversary Edition and Avalon Hill's Source of the Nile.
We would also like to know what games would entice you to attend. We already have commitments for Battlestar Galactica in the early session.

You can sign up to run a game using this form:
http://www.swa-gaming.org/gameathoneventregistration

Or, you can request a game to be run here:
http://www.swa-gaming.org/gameathonsuggestion

Please sign up by Sept 7 or earlier. That way we can get the word out in plenty of time for the Thon.

OK, you're in. Thanks!

Wings of War?

Has anyone played Wings of War?

I'm looking into buying it and just wondering if anyone has played it before and/or there's interest in this being run at SWA?

I'd get the WWII version, btw.

I owned and played the original WoW set. It's a solid game that I think works best with more planes.

There is a group (Ben's) that comes into the Studio with the miniatures and have a lot of fun with it. I'm pretty sure they use the WWI models, but I haven't been there enough to see them since the WWII versions were released.

I'd think that a Dawn of War minis event would garner some attention.

More WoW Players

John Rigley, SWA officer, is a big fan of WoW. He will be running an event at Council. There are currently two WoW events on the Council schedule.
