Kid-Friendly Games at SWA Events

If you've been coming to our events over the past few years, you might have noticed that we're making more of an effort to have a good selection of "Kid Friendly" games not only at Council of Five Nations, but also at our monthly Game-a-thons.

We've gotten some suggestions from both players and GMs; requests to clarify the definition of "Kid Friendly".

After some good internal discussion (and a little borrowing from the good folks who run TotalCon), the SWA Planning Team has come up with some new guidelines.  We'll definitely implement them for events at Council, after a little dry-run testing at the August and September Game-a-thons.

In summary, we now ask each GM to provide a "Maturity Rating":

• Child rating is for children age 6 - 9, with adult supervision
• E10+ rating is for players 10 and up in age (This is the default rating)
• Teen rating is for players 14 and up in age
• Mature rating is for players 18 and up in age.
