Hello Northeast Gamers & Game Masters,
We've put out the call for games for Council of Five Nations several weeks ago, and the early-birds have responded. We have about 45 events so far.
Many thanks to the following people who have already volunteered, some for multiple games:

Forty+ is a good start, but we need about 100 more!
We had over 150 events last year, and our attendance was excellent. So we need a lot more games to entertain all the people who will be showing up this year.
As usual, we have a good mix of Board games, Minis, and RPGs. We even have one of Ben Ossenfort's legendary LARPs planned.
If you're looking for some inspiration...
But the main thing we're looking for are games that YOU want to run.
We know there are dozens of you that are planning on running something for us, but have yet to get your events in.
Now is the time!
Time is getting tight. Council is only about ten weeks away (October 7-9 this year).
We want to get the pre-reg material out by late August, to give everyone a decent amount of time to register.
We'd like to remind you about how well we treat our GMs at Council:
* Run just one event that's listed in the pre-reg booklet and get your whole weekend's registration free.
* Get a very cool GMs-only Council logo T-Shirt.
How many other cons are this generous?
We've been showing you the love for years now, so we hope you can show some extra love back this year and get those events in by Saturday, August 6th.
It so happens that we have a bunch of shirts left over from previous years. We've come up with a plan on how to put them to good use.
GMs who don't get their events in by Saturday, August 6th will still get a shirt, but it might not be the (super secret) 2011 color. You might get one from a past year's Council.
So, to avoid this fate worse than death itself, please get those events in by Saturday, August 6th!
Please use this coming weekend to fill out the Council Event Form.

As usual, we have a good mix of Board games, Minis, and RPGs. We even have one of Ben Ossenfort's legendary LARPs planned.

- We need more RPGs. We have Pathfinder covered, but we need
an RPGA Czar. Please reply to this email if you'd like to
volunteer.
- World War II is always very popular with the Historical Minis folks. We could use some more WW2 minis events.
- The Napoleonic period is also popular. Could use one or two more Napoleonic minis events.
- Horror! Call of Cthulhu RPG events generally do very well for us. Other horror games too.
- Avalon Hill Classic board games.
- We could use several more events targeted for our younger attendees. Please see our guidelines for Kid Friendly games here.
But the main thing we're looking for are games that YOU want to run.

Each year's shirt is a different color, and we'll keep that streak going until we run out of colors. SNEAK PREVIEW - Council Schedule Finalized
We are just about set with the event schedule for this year's Council of Five Nations, coming soon this October 7-9.
A big "Thank You" to all the GMs who've stepped-up to help make Council happen.
We're working on pulling the pre-registration material together right now. Here is the project plan:
* Create the pre-registration packet in PDF format. Post it to the SWA web site.
* Activate the online registration page and open the doors to your pre-registrations.
* Convert all that material to HTML and post it to the web site.
We've got lots of Council goodness this year, so watch your email box for more updates.
In the mean time, here's a not-so-little sneak preview to whet your appetites. This is an abbreviated version of the full, final event schedule. Full event descriptions to follow real soon.
