Pointcon XXIX - this Saturday, April 8th

If you'd prefer something different than one of the regular SWA Game-a-thons
this Saturday, you might want to check out PointCon.

POINTCON XXIX will be held on Saturday, April 8 at Thayer Hall on the campus
of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY. For further details,
go to www.pointcon.org. Admission
is $15 and all proceeds go to support the Cadet Wargaming Club. Their
will be an ancients tournament, boardgames and miniatures games. Tours
are also available of the campus and the Military Museum.

For those who have not been there in the past, POINTCON is a small, but fun,
convention for those who attend and is only an hour's drive away for many.
For many of us, it is an annual tradition. I have been attending for
many years and have been a GM for the past several years. I support
the convention because it is a good time, but also because it is a worthy
cause. When you realize that many of the Cadets who are running the
convention will be off serving their country in a few months, many of them
in harms way, you understand that POINTCON is more than just your average
gaming convention.
