Just wanted to posted a message to say hello; I grew up in Castleton and currently reside in Troy. My gaming preferences tend towards German-style games, but I enjoy some of the old AH games - Dune, Republic of Rome, etc -- as well.

I also dabble in designing, and a few other local guys and I host playtesting get-togethers in Troy on a roughly quarterly basis. We're always happy to have more designers/playtesters along. The next one should be in April, but we hold occasional weeknight sessions as well.

I hope to try to attend one of the gameathons at some point. Hope to meet some of you at a table soon!

yes, welcome. You should seriously try to make a stop in at one of the game-a-thons... we have something for everyone, whether its euro games, historical minis, roleplaying games or just plain simple ccg's.

hope you can make it one of these days.

The monthly game-a-thons have been doing some good boardgames of late, and I know we have some devoted Eurogame people out there.
