Old Studio gamer looking to start gaming again

()

So, if I were to drop by the studio on a Saturday (is it every Saturday?), without necessarily knowing all the rules to any of the games going on, how good a chance would I have to find a spot somewhere?

I used to come by the Studio back in the late 80's and play D&D. I've played some of the D&D 3.5 Living Greyhawk, and other than that I'm totally out of the loop as far as what's going on in gaming.

I'd understand if players deep in campaigns didn't want to nurse a newb. I haven't been able to find a lot of info on ongoing games on the site, and the info I did find seemed like it might be a little dated.

I just thought it would be cool to drop by again, and maybe even make it a regular thing again. Once September comes I'll be working full-time and going to school full-time, and it'd be cool to have a regular weekly game to blow off steam. It would just suck to show up one Saturday and have everyone at the tables give me the hairy eyeball because they don't want anyone new (or because they remember me from when I used to come to the Studio back in the day, when I could be pretty annoying).

Cool. Thanks for the info.

Hello Mick,

Things have changed a lot. Saturday gaming is not as regular or well-attended as it was back in your day.

I'd suggest you keep an eye on our monthly Game-a-thon days for a good selection of games. The best way to do that is to subscribe to our email newsletter, SWANews.

You can click here to do that:
