Looking for a 3rd (or 3.5) Edition Group

()

My friend and I are looking to start or join a 3rd edition D&D group. He's a complete rookie - never played aside from games like Neverwinter Nights. I've been playing for over a decade, and I'm pretty familiar with D&D in general... but I haven't played regularly in a year or so. I just picked up the 3.5 books, so I haven't really sorted through all the changes, but it looks fairly workable.

I've DM'ed quite a bit in the past, but I was hoping to find a group with an existing DM. I'd be willing to split DMing duties or rotate out (i.e. alternate between different campaigns/DM's from week to week).

I'd like to get a group of 3-5 guys (or girls) together for weekly sessions. I have two other potential players, but I'm not sure how reliable they'll be.

Drop me a line here or at baltimoreblues@hotmail.com and let me know if you're interested.

My group plays mostly on Sundays. We're using 3.5. It isn't an open group, precisely, but you are welcome to come by, meet everyone, and see if you would like to play. Smiling

Mark runs a good AD&D game on Saturdays if he is up for another Smiling

To people seeking Roleplaying games

The current party is a Psinosist, the hub of the group, a ranger, a mage/cleric, a cleric/warrior, a straight mage, a dualist(now becoming mage with dual class), also a Warrior, training now to become a thief, then eventually a bard(very commited)~ Also a monk joins occasionally, when he is in town. All this coud change however, as the game gets dangerous and we gotta play smart to stay alive.
The game runs 1st edition AD&D, the best system, it uses psionics and alot of special rules, like for playing humans above other races and etc, and there are many house rules that have been recorded over the years and put into use as questionos arise. Its a very old game world, the DM has been running his world for like 15 years or something, he is fair but tricky, and the game never lacks creativity detail and hardcore danger. You really should come on down to the studio saturday evenings and check it out, we are average lvl of about 5 or 6 atm, so its still young, but much happens and its no problem to make a couple more seats at the table.
The Studio of Bridge and games, AKA the Price Chopper Community Room, is located on Eastern parkway, half a block off of Mcclellan street in Schenectady, across the street from a (you guessed it) a Price Chopper.

Re: Looking for a 3rd (or 3.5) Edition Group

Usually on Saturdays, at the Studio. The group is in flux because they lost at least one member to  . The party is fairly heavy on fighter types currently. One player has a C/Mu, but he is the only spell caster. They do have a trap detector as well. Laughing out loud

Methinks joining an existing group sounds good.

Hi Mark.

I'd certainly be interested in joining your group, if you have a chair open. When/Where do you usually play? I'm living in Latham right now...

What sort of characters are in your current group? What level?

I can'y help you much in the player department, but I am still running my AD&D game on Saturdays....If you have a desire to play...
