494 AD: The wedding of King Uther Pendragon

The Sunday, July 11 game covered the first part of 494. Two new knights were knighted by Lord Pwyll at Candlemas.

The Earl took the players as his escort to attend the King's Court at Pentecost....and to witness his marriage to the Lady Igraine. A tournament of sorts was held to celebrate the nuptials, but only included a melee....with live weapons. The player knights were roughly handled, but no one died. The Earl also announced the betrothal of his oldest son, Humbert, to Glesig, the oldest daughter of the Earl of Hertford, as well as his youngest son taking up duties as Squire to Hertford.

The year will continue on July 25, with a harvest-time adventure.
