Additional information:
The ship is out of the year constraints, but I will allow the Neo-Tholian NFF.
MRS shuttles will be allowed on carriers only.
All Captains will be allowed to purchase Commanders Options. The normal limit of 20% will be allowed.
Drones may be constructed by drone players.
All choices are to be submitted to me for approval and record keeping.
At the end of all scenarios, players will be awarded points for their activities. The player with the highest point total will prevail.

Re: Campaign Info
Hello. I was just curious if you guys usually do SFB's on weekends. I can come by Oct 27-29 if anything is planned or the following weekend (1st weekend of November) I live in Erie, PA and its hard for me to find anyone to do SFB. Thanks for your help and Happy Hunting!

Oops, I got his name wrong. I don't know where Paul came from...
Mr Rocque's first name is Eric.
Sorry about that,

If Paul is interested, he can play any of the scenarios, and 'catch' up

Charles & I are going to make up a scenario or two tomorrow night at Zombie Planet (Tuesday the 8th). I will have him fly against Paul Rocque, the latest addition to Battlefleet SWA.
I will keep you posted on what happens.

I would like to plan a "make up day" for anyone missing a scenario. If you can make up a game otherwise, let me know.

ben and i have to finish the last scenario but after the mess up we had i am willing to concede the second half of the scenario to ben so that we both win our seperate parts in order to avoid fighting the battle again. i am also willing to refight the last battle but would like to do that the next time we play either before or after the next scenario. if you contact ben let me know which way he wants to resolve this.

Keith: Your welcome to join.
I would recommend you investigate the ships available for the time period and BPV. The Hydrans have little (good?) options in that range. Of course, if you take a cheaper ship and win, you get more points....see the post above that I made to Swampy....
Did you sign up for Council? There will be a sizable contingent of (VERY) good players coming to play SFB.

I'm a new Star Fleet battles player and I would love to join this campaign as a Hydran if that is still possible. I Think that this opportunity will give me the chance to learn this system well without being overwhelmed by rules. My e-mail is kcornell73@hotmail.com if there is still room.

Ben has shown some interest. He is considering Kzinti...
He/I will be contacting Sam as well.
Any others?

Dave,
Starting date: I am thinking..soon. I haven't heard from CHM. He had expressed interest in playing, but hasn't responded. I am also waiting for others to respond.
The list of people playing and what they are flying are being posted in my journal...

)Start Date
Mark,
Do you have a start date in mind for your game?
Do you have a list of people who you think are going to play?

)Re: Campaign Info
Understandable. Remember though, most of your battles will NOT be against the other players ship. Most of your battles will be against monsters (need labs), Orions (need weapons), other ships (weapons) and misc scenerios (other systems). You won't be able to surprise the monster...
The one disadvantage of taking two small ships is the monster scenerios. A monster like the planet crusher does "x" damage when it hits you. If "x" is 30, and you have a ship with 15 shields and 50 internals get hit, it gets hurt. If you have a ship with 14 shields and 30 internals, it gets trashed...
The advantage of two small ships, is dealing with multiple threats. Of course, the ships might be too small to deal with them alone...
..If we get together Saturday for D&D, I will bring my stuff.

)Re: Campaign Info
Swampy,
The 80 BPV should allow a good choice..lets see...
A quick look indicates
Fed:
FF,FFG,FFV,FFE,FFR,FFL,FFS,FFD,FFM,FFT,FFP,CFF,FCR,FLG, Pol.
that these units will fit. Of course some of them (might?) are unsuitable for your purposes, and some might have drone speed increases, or refits that will put them over, but I think you can find one you like.
Hydran: LN,LN+,KN,DDP,DE,LNG,MS,MS+, these are destroyer variants...

HN,AH,CRU,CU,CVE,EH,HNG,SAR,SC,FCR, FF'S...
OTHER- GEN 42,INS,INS+.
of course, if that bores you, you could fly an MNR.
of course fighters or refits might put you over the top...

Mark,
Right now I'm debating between the Fed or Hydran.

Jason:
Year-175*
BPV:80
Multiple ships are allowed, but you still only have the 80 BPV to work with. This means you would have two very small ships. ie Police ships or some such. This could have advantages, but it certainly would have disadvantages.

:
Escorts-As per the rules-unless you are actually on a supply mission, any fighters you are carrying, would be in storage. I would waive this rule, but only if all the other players agree...
Dave: If Everyone takes the same ship, it would be rather boring, but I won't limit people. If two people have the same ship, they would have the same limitations, so it would certainly be a good judge of "the better player". Civil War battles would be interesting though...
I will post your choice.... LDR-FF

)Re: Campaign Info
can you purchase multiply ships? are fighters allowed on escort firgates/ what is the year and how much bpv do we have to work with? is it okay to take any ship of the appropriate year?

)Picking Ships
Mark,
Can multiple players have the same ship, or is there some kind of "only one player per ship/race" limit?
Either way, I am calling dibs on the LDR Frigate.
