Feb 2004 Campaign Update - The group is destroyed

Ha Ha. The DM kills the group!
Actually, this could have been avoided, but I think we all learned a lesson that all of our actions have consequences. The result is that everyone in the group was killed in this session and the group will have to restart.
This is not necessarily a bad thing since we have been going for almost two years on this campaign. Starting off again at 1st level may not be a bad thing.
Or perhaps we can move onto my favorite game - Ars Magica?
The scoop...
Rohan, Saffron, Ermy and Red are wanted after polymorphing a member of the royal family into a Wild Elf.
Rohan turns himself in, but is tried in abstensia and is executed for his "Crimes".
Brodin tried to rescue Rohan from jail, was captured and executed for aiding a known "traitor".
Ermy, Saffron, Shadow and Scicillior all run away and end up on Firewatch Island (See Dungeon #109?) where they think they will meet Red and escape out of the country. Instead, they find a deserted hermitage. That night they are attacked by several waves of the "drowned". By the fourth wave the group is deccimated, taken themselves to a watery grave.
Next Session
We will meet at the Fontana house in Pattersonville on Friday, Feb 20 from 12-2 PM to talk about the next campaign and what game system to use.

That sounds good. I think it'd be fun to start as first levels, though.

If you are all free, we can get together on Fri. Feb 20 - I think school is still out - or sometime over the weekend. I can show you how Ars Magica works, and we can debate if we want to do that ot D&D. Maybe even make up characters.

I think it'll be fun to try something new, plus, not having to worry about leveling up and getting experience points at the end of the game will be nice.

For those who are wondering. Ars Magica is a RPG set in medieval Europe. All the PC's are magic users. You pick a magic specialty and gain powers through study and adventuring. NO experience points, no leveling up, and you only use one 10-sided die!!!!!.

Well - I disagree about Scillior's death - but that's irrelevant. If you can convince Nick S-R (Arrow), Dom (Ivan) and Nick P(Jorak) to start a separate group, that's ok with me. I assume that that is the small 4 person group u are considering?

sicilliar didnt die, he boosted the hp of Saffron just high enough for him to kill off the final two waves and took the ferry the next day. He then met up with the characters that never went to either place and told them what happened. (maybe there could be a side game with just those four characters?)
