Companion Introductions
Ian MacKellen
Tribal Chieftan and Autocrat for the Covenant
The misfortunes of the MacKellen family are to the benefit of our new covenant, and this is what has brought you together.
The MacKellens have lived for generations on the highlands of Scotland. They fueded with their neighbors as all good Scots do. Just last year, the MacGruders attacked the MacKellens in force, and not just to raid cattle or other treasures. They slaughtered many of the MacKellens. Where there used to be over 100, now there are less than 30 survivors.
It was not a fair fight. MacGruder men who were known to be average warriors cut down the best fighters the MacKellens had. Evan MacGruder struck Ian so hard with a hand axe that it split his shield and cut his arm clean through (Missing Arm –1). Evan MacGruder is a man who would have trouble hoisting a mug of ale if it weren't like mother's milk to him, so Ian knows that there was evil sorcery involved somehow.
The MacKellens were chased from their lands and found refuge in this area. Knowing that they would need magical aid of their own to simply survive, Ian has agreed to have what’s left of his tribe serve your interests. His men will build, tend animals, and fight for you. His women will cook, clean and mend.
Ian himself will oversee the operation of the covenant. He knows many important people of the highlands (Social Contacts, Temporal Influence), and he knows this is valuable to you.
Ian is a vigorous man, especially for one his age (mid 40s). He has the strength and build of a normal man in his 20s, except for the missing hand. He is also of keen mind and intellect, so it is no surprise he leads the MacKellens (Improved Characteristics).
You once saw one of the French mercenaries bullying one of Ian’s nephews. Ian walked over and gave the man a good hard stare. You would think Frenchie had been caught doing something wrong by his mother, because all he could do was turn and slink away (Piercing Gaze).
Ian may once have been a jovial man, but he is no longer. You can tell he is always brooding over thoughts of revenge against the MacGruders.
Ian is almost always followed around by a huge Irish Wolfhound (Animal Companion).

Re: Companion Introductions
Liam MacKellen
Liam is the son of the Clan Chief…and he doesn’t like him much. His dislike for him caused him to remove himself from his fathers influence. When the Clan massacre happened, he brought the Clan to the local area to escape destruction. He is an accomplished woodsman, and a superb (though young) fighter. He prefers the sword and bow, though he carries several hand axes.
Liam is uncomfortable with public speaking, and shies away from such displays. He much prefers to spend his time in the woods, and most folk think him ‘odd’, but his budding leadership and command abilities bode well for the clan; assuming he can be persuaded to assume them.

First, Sorry dave, I did make up the Grog Captian, but after completing him, I just couldn't get into the character. It really doesn't feel like it is mine.
No problem, Jonah. If you're just not into the character concept, then it's much better for everyone that you do what you want to do.
Instead of Jean-Paul the companion, we will have Jean-Paul the grog be the Grog Captain. Mercenary Leader is just a +1 virtue, so this is easily done.

)Torrence
First, Sorry dave, I did make up the Grog Captian, but after completing him, I just couldn't get into the character. It really doesn't feel like it is mine.
With that said, here is my companion.
He goes by Torrence,
When he was born, He was obviously different. Larger then normal
baby's to begin with, and Reaked of magic(Giant blood, Magical air). His parents tried to keep
him hidden from the village but it was just too obvious. To protect
themselves they traveled deep into the wilderness and left him there,
knowing that the magical sent would probably enrage an animal and do
what they could not. However that isn't exactly what happened, The
animals themselves didn't find him offensive at all, and actually
helped take care of him(Innofensive to animals).
The animals themselves didn't exactly raise him, But a man gone
slightly insane, Named Darrius, did. Seeing the possible magical potential in him, Darrius raised him, or at least did until he came to realise he
did not actually have the gift. At this point, he provided just the
very basic essentials, food when needed, and a place to sleep, First
Aid after a particularly nasty run in with a wild beast(Disfigured:Scars) And the name Torrence.
Years later when Torrence was old enough, Darrius called upon one last
last favor from a friend of his and sent Torrence to be trained as a
warrior. He figured since he couldn't be a mage, he may as well be
use in some other fassion. At first the training was difficult as
they tried to beat the beast out of him, and he refused to talk to
anyone. When he did talk, he sounded more beastial, then human and
was then taken for an idiot. This was later disproved when he was sent
into a blinding rage from several other students were picking on him
about his looks, his upbringing, and especially about his parents
dumping him in the woods; 3 students were left with broken arms, and
1 with both legs broken(Fury). With the idiocy notion disproved, and that
small incident, the rest of his training went smoother, and with alot
more caution as well.
A few years later, he had returned to the woods only to find that
Darrius was gone. Torrence was left alone again, Except for People with familiar scents moving into the old keep near by...

Fritz Richter is a skilled scribe and scholar who hungers for knowldge. He has come to scottland to continue his search for faerie and other magical creatures. He's a skilled teacher and has made his living in the past tutoring noble families in france and germany.
his imediate plans are to scribe a book and try to trade for some books on obscure lore (faerie, magic, dominion) and to try and track down and study some of the local magical creatures.
he is an aging fellow who is overweight, but not fat. He is fond of food, drink and the finer things in life.
