A Stone Trap Door

The group wakes up after midnight in an attempt to quell some unscrupulous activity centered around the North Wharf district. After assisting a merchant recently mugged on the seedy lower west side, the party descends 40 feet below the streets of Waterdell into the dank stench of the city©ˆs sewers. The group finds and raids a skulk lair cleverly camouflaged beneath the bustling commerce along the thoroughfares above. The merchant©ˆs gems are retrieved, but not before a pitched battle between the party and the skulks, resulting in many severe injuries and the halfling rendered unconscious.

Within the skulk nursery, the group finds a stone trap door wedged shut with iron spikes. They head for the surface before facing whatever might be contained therein. If they dare to enter, will their fate be fantastic riches or certain death?

My apologies to Wes and his whole group. The hackers came knocking again, so once again I wiped out the files for the past couple of days to (hopefully) eliminate their work. I didn't want to ask Wes to post this a third time, so I handled it myself.
