Hi David,
Oh,May is fine and I'd love any assistance in gewtting the word out as well!! Chris Hopler said your a great bunch
I'll send you a mail on whatnot for the event! Thank you David!
I'm going to suggest that you hold off running your event on April 8th. Most of our publicity has already gone out with no mention of your Battletech event, which could definitely hurt turnout. Also, we've got a full schedule already for April.
Instead, how about you run it in May? You could get a full listing on the event schedule. And, we could plan around you and not be overloaded on the schedule.
AND, the SWA has an old Battletech players email list. It's been several years since we've used it, so many of the addresses might be stale. But, we'd be happy to give it a try to promote your event.
AND, if you run other Battletech events, even ones not associated with SWA, please let me know. Write up a blurb and we'll send it out. We're happy to use our resources to help publicize your events.

I am hoping to make this months game-a-thon. I have made one and they are great. The sad part is the last few months it seems I have a commitments that I cannot get out of to make another.

Bill,
You misunderstand. I am GMing and am not counted in that total regardless of who shows up. The scenario itself only *has* 5 player characters. If 6 players sign up, 1 will not play.
We have reserved spots for both of you. It was decided that it was better to list the number of players for the games as designed to keep people from thinking modifications had been made.

Trying to decide what, if anything, to run.
I was thinking about all-day Titan. But I'm not sure if anyone would be into a playing a game that could take both sessions. If they got eliminated they could play something else in the evening slot, but still.
FYI for those who don't know- My Titan set is "deluxe". All the pieces are on poker chips, and the board and battlelands are larger and laminated!

Event: The Last Round
Type: RPG
System: Savage Worlds
Players: 5
Age: 16+
Description:
The Last Round takes your players into the heart of darkness, whether they make it out the other side is up to them! Leading a dwindling patrol of
native soldiers across the rugged terrain of Portuguese East Africa, the
heroes must face disease, exhaustion, hunger and thirst, and desertion. Andthings don’t get any better after breakfast!
At stake: your life and the lives of the men under your command;
Portuguese ambitions as a colonial power; and the power to command the
very forces of nature.
There is something wrongout there. The animals are acting strangely,
the natives are restless, and a legendary figure is rumored to be at
large in the forests. At this time, the heroes are ordered to lead a small
patrol out to the border region, in what could be the first action of the
Great War here in the Dark Continent!

)Re: April 8 Gameathon
I just had a flash of ideas, inspired by the pickup game of Tikal we played at the last Game-a-thon.
I've now got several ideas for "expansion" rules to add some extra juice to the game.
I might like to try them out at the April Thon, or some other Thon, or perhaps at a home game.
