Ever thought of using a painting service for any kind of miniatures? If so you should read this! Review of Brand X Painting
I first off want to say that many of the painting services that I have used
and advertise on the net are all very good, professional and excellent
painters that do a great job. I have worked with many of them and would
continue to do so in the future, had I not used Brand X Painting.
But having recently sent a trial job to Brand X Painting I didn’t quite know
what to expect. I knew that some of them used to work at another painting
studio so they were familiar with me. I also knew that I would get decent
quality for a decent price, that much is apparent on the website and in
their galleries.
What I didn’t expect, and what I got was the best painting experience I have
had to date. This is certainly not to belittle the good experiences I had in
the past with other painters, merely to laud Brand X for the outstanding job
they did for me.
I sent my models with a test painted model, rough scheme etc. Their
communications were always timely, polite and sincere.
They painted up a few test models in the scheme I requested, matched an
existing painted sentinel model to the T, matched my basing requirements,
didn’t balk with some of my models primed black etc. They made a change I
requested on the test model and then when I approved the scheme they went
right to work. They turned my job in a timely fashion, packed my models
excellently and just did an AMAZING job overall.
Everything was great. They turned my job in about 2-3 weeks, and did it such
a fashion that they are seriously making me consider never using another
painting service again.
The Photos I got back from them were excellent quality, as were the models
they painted. They just did an exceptional job, and they even added the
squad markings on the bottom of the bases for me. I had sent the army to
them separated by squads in baggies and they did this little extra for me
WITHOUT EVEN BEING ASKED. Its just something they did to make my job that
much more special and useful. They packaged each model individually in foam,
and the box was lined with peanuts and packed securley.
The quality of the painting is excellent and is beyond standard tabletop
gaming standard. And it was all done affordably and accurately.
Granted they are not as cheap as some painting services, and not as
expensive as others I have seen and or used. However the quality of the
final product overcomes this in my opinion.
Overall I would say this is the best experience I have had working with a
professional painting service to date. Consider me a loyal Brand X customer
moving forward.
I am not posting this to discourage anyone from using any other
painting services; I am only putting this up as a positive testimonial to a
great company and a good bunch of folks who did a hell of a job for me.
If you want to see the minis go here:

I recently sent them a second job and they were just as accomodating as the first and even more so.
Also, they paint more than just 40k as the gallery will show you, they do Flames of War/Battlefront, Battlefleet Gothic, Warmachine, D&D minis etc. anything, just check them out.
Thanks, and happy gaming!

)No problemo
They do good work and at a good price. I dont mind letting others know about them. When I brought my Vostroyan Imperial Guardsman to an Apocalypse battle at Flights of Fantasy not too long ago everyone was impressed with the work they had done on my models.
